When most readers attend kick-ass copywriting courses, they are looking for "quick fixes". Various small alteration that have significant result. I'm certain you are and there's nothing improper with looking for quick fixes. Actually, it can be one of the most excellent things that to your business. But these tricks is not guaranteed. Occasionally these tricks boost your revenue, sometimes they crash. Unfortunately, the awful reality is, they flip 99% of the time and when that happens, it costs you. Be it energy, resources or labor. It's kind of gambling if you ask me.
Now, let me ask you, isn't it infinitely better to stick to tested rules? Steps that you can mimic to produce a classic? Here, I'll let you in the exact steps I take to create web copy so commanding, it gets patrons to you rather than of you searching for them.
1. Never accept somebody else's testing results as commonly true. How frequentlys have you read a book on copywriting tips or attend a seminar where the guru discusses his test result? How commonly have you been persuaded to do the same? Don't do it! Stop now because those "tricks" come off in his situation and not yours. Paradoxically, result sharing moments is exactly when the attendees are most excited for the period of the whole seminar. I'm sorry to advise you that there's no replacement to testing yourself.
2. Do not commence promotion before you have a testing system up and running, even if you copied a guru's successful control. Testing is the sole method to assure your web copy succeed. If it fails, you can stop it before it drives to you bankruptcy and roll out your control to control the damage.
3. Look an under-supplied demand and fill the demand. Most entrepreneurs erroneously run their business the other way round. They come up with a new idea and believed consumers will come hurrying to purchase them. They're mistaken! It's simpler to fill an existing demand than to create a new one. How to find out if there's enough demand? Do quick keyword exploration and look if there's any searches done for it. Straightforward and effective.
4. Know your customers and perform your research. Find out what interests them and what doesn't. This is of utmost significance because, people don't desire what's good for them, they want what causes them feel good! Don't make the mistake of proposing your customers what you think they should want. Fill their demand. If at any time you discover yourself advising people what's best for them, then you are lecturing, not marketing.
5. Come up with a heading that halt readers instantly. I believe you've read a "best heading" or "best words for headlines" list. They can be pretty helpful but that's not where your focus should be. Again, your focus should be on your prospect's greatest want and don't try to appear like someone you're not. Your sales letter should give the impression like you're sitting in front of them, talking directly with them. As any good copywriters would tell you, constructing a compelling headline is key to your web copy's success.
6. Craft an powerful offer. Your offer is far more important than your sales letter itself. If I'm selling a unused authentic gold Rolex for a meager amount of $100, would you accept my offer? Point made. Drive up the worth of your product so much that price out of a sudden isn't an concern any longer.
7. All of the last 6 steps would be ineffective if you don't apply step 7. This is the most important tactic you have to do or you'll be doomed to fail from the start. Gary Halbert used to questioned the attendees of a seminar that if they are promoting hot dogs and if there's one advantage they can have but not their competitors, what would it be? They produced with various great answers that include more attractive stand, tastier hot dogs, busier position, and cheaper hot dogs. But Gary halbert said to them, "My advantage will surely be better all of you!" Know what was he going to say??
It's a hungry crowd! If he can have his hot dog stand in front of a hungry crowd does it matter if his stand is old and his hot dogs are stale? The point I'm trying to make is, get the right reader to read your sales letter! Advertising to the whole world is costly and harmful to your marketing campaign. Plus, a shotgun approach, canmost definitely distort your test results.
If you follow all the 7 steps, then there's no doubt you'll succeed.
